Wir sind eh bekannt, nicht nur dann vollgas zu geben, wenn sich Prominenz auf dem Berg tummelt, sondern täglich einen perfekten Park zu shapen von Juli bis anfang November.
Nun wollen wir aber nochmal einen drauf setzen und mit euch unser grosses Jubiläum feiern! Bereits zum zehnten mal öffnet der Gravity Park am kommenden Wochenende seine Pforten und möchte sich mit einer unvergesslichen Session am 1. August bei all den treuen und zukünftigen Gästen für ihr Vertrauen bedanken.
Bereits am Samstag 31. Juli, werden sich dutzende der zahlreichen Shaper, die sich über all die Jahre auf dem “Plateau Rosa” die Hände wund geschaufelt haben vereinen, um zusätzliche special obstacles und hidden lines zu bauen. Auf diesem einzigartigen Spielplatz wird dann, nach einer kleinen, aber feinen Party, am Nationalfeiertag der kreativste Rider gekürt und mit einem Zimtstern Outfit belohnt. Auch weitere Preise und Giveaways winken den Leuten, die sich im Sommer wieder mal auf den Berg wagen, um die Vorteile der warmen Jahreszeit im Schnee zu geniessen.

Einem friedlichen, aktiven Jubiläumsweekend steht also nichts im Wege, profitiert von verbilligten 1-2Tageskarten im eindrücklichen Panorama von Zermatt!

Programm:

Wenns dir nicht passt, kannst du ausschlafen oder Murmeltiere jagen gehen. Wir jedenfalls frühstücken täglich ab 7h und düsen dann zum Allalin-Gletscher hoch. Das Coaching dauert stets von 9-12h, gefolgt vom freien Training bis der Park um 13h schliesst. Um 1430h gibts Lunch im Hotel.

Nachmittags bieten wir ein vielfältiges Angebot an Fun Sports wie Skaten, Trampolin springen, Basketball, Beach Volley, Tennis, Golf, Fussball, Klettern. Anmeldung/Zuteilung erfolgt jeweils tags zuvor oder morgens mittels Info-Tafel im Hotel. Je nach Wetter.

Später treffen wir uns alle um 1930h im Hotel zum 3-Gang-Dinner. Danach spielen wir oft gemeinsam an der WII-Station oder hängen ab mit Snow- und Surf-DVDs. September 2010 ist es wieder soweit: freestyle.ch Zürich, der europaweit grösste Freestylesport-Event, wird auf der Landiwiese die Besten der Besten in den Disziplinen Snowboard, Freeski, FMX und Skateboard zusammenbringen. Neu wird das Programm bei freestyle.ch auf zwei Tage konzentriert. Mit den Public PLUS Tickets gibt es eine neue, interessante Kategorie für über 21-Jährige. Das Programm bei freestyle.ch Zürich vom 25. und 26. September wird dieses Jahr erstmals auf zwei Tage konzentriert. «Mit den kompletten Qualifikationen und der Crossover Session wird der Samstag für die Besucher noch attraktiver, weil alle Athleten anwesend sind», sagt OK-Präsident Erwin Flury. Zwei Konzerte sorgen für den musikalischen Groove auf der Landiwiese. Die Finals mit den weltweit besten Freestylesportlern in den Disziplinen Snowboard, Freeski, FMX und Skateboard finden wie gewohnt am Sonntag statt. Erwartet werden über die zwei Tage rund 35’000 Besucher. freestyle.ch- Fans kommen am Freitagabend bei der Riders Welcome Party voll auf ihre Kosten. Bei der exklusiven Präsentation der Athleten sorgen die Delinquent Habits musikalisch für Unterhaltung.

Once again Burton Snowboards and Demonium team up for the Burton Summer Camps in Les 2 Alpes during two weeks from July 10th – July 24th. Like every summer, this is all about having a good time riding one of the best snowpark in the Alps together with Burton’s European team riders and certified coaches to make sure you improve your riding skills.

Along with the regular camp weeks we have two specials going on this year :
- July 10th – 17th : A Kids Week in partnership with 6 Punto 9 Camps, finally kids from 13 years onwards will be able to join the camps with a 24h supervision and experience the relaxed atmosphere of summer snowboarding with their favorite pro riders.

The Billabong Ante Up competition, the first 5Star event of the 2010/11 Swatch TTR World Tour season, went off today with an excellent showing from a diverse field of riders. The summertime event was held up at 7,000-feet in the Camp of Champions park on the Blackcomb glacier and featured a massive 75-foot gap jump. The event featured 40 riders going for a piece of the $50,000 prize purse and 850 TTR ranking points. It was an all-Canadian podium and Sebastien Toutant (CAN) took the top spot making him $20,000 richer. Toutant also secured an automatic invite to the Billabong Air & Style Innsbruck.

Canadians defend their home turf with 1260 double corks
All the riders were pulling off some impressive tricks all day and it came down to a double cork 1260 race for the podium with all three riders doing different variations of the trick. Toutant won the first place podium spot with a flawless Cab 1260 double cork and had this to say about his win, “Winning the first 5Star TTR big air contest was just amazing, it was an epic final and it’s sick because I’ll be leading in the TTR ranking going down to New Zealand in August.”

Coming in second place behind Toutant and winning $15,000 was Matts Kulisek (CAN) who landed a backside 1260 double cork and Mark McMorris (CAN) took third place earning $10,000 for his frontside 1260 double cork. Other notable mentions include Gjermund Braaten (NOR) who also stomped a backside 1260 double cork to take fourth place and Chas Guldemond (USA) who landed a frontside 1260 for fifth place. Looking forward to the Southern Hemisphere Season
With the first 5Star event of the 2010/11 season in the bag, the tour will move down to the Southern Hemisphere in August for the 5Star Burton New Zealand Open which is the next major event on the calendar. Eröffnung Sommerskigebiet
Am 3. Juli öffnet das Sommerskigebiet wieder seine Tore und damit auch der Freestylepark. Das Setup besteht wie in den letzten Jahre aus zwei Kickerlines, Rails, Boxen und einer Superpipe. Vor der Eröffnung werden wir euch mit ein paar Bildern auf der Freestyle Website über die genaueren Obstacles und Parkkonditionen informieren.

Camps im Sommer
Auch diesen Sommer finden wieder diverse Ski- und Snowboardcamps in Saas-Fee statt. Anfangs Juli startet das Zoom Camp mit Skirace- und Freestylecamps. Mitte Juli beginnen die Freeskicamps von Warren Smith sowie die Snowboardcamps aus Dänemark, die so genannten DIN Camps. Neu dieses Jahr gibt es in der letzten Juliwoche die Eskimos Freestylecamps.

The WSF World Rookie Tour is ready to kick off the season 2010/11 with the first international events and national series. In July and August 2010 the tour will land in Europe, Oceania and South America, from Northern to Southern Hemisphere. The next months’ calendar includes Swatch TTR slopestyle events, a training camp and a freeride trip in the search for snowboarding’s future stars.

Last season, the World Rookie Tour 09/10 included events in the Southern and Northern Hemispheres. More than 500 young riders from 27 nations joined the tour. It culminated in Ischgl, Austria, with the 4Star Protest World Rookie Finals where finnish ripper Roope Tonteri won his second World Rookie Champion title. Beside the confirmed information for the set events n July and August, more information on the program for next winter and prizes will soon be announced.

Rookie Camp, Val Senales, Italy – 3.10 july 2010 (Advanced Training Camp)
From 3rd to 10th July 2010, Val Senales in Italy, will host the Rookie Camp, a freestyle training camp for riders of any level up to 18 years old. Ride with the Champions as the World Rookie Champion Roope Tonteri and many other talented youngsters will join this unique training program. The Rookie Camp will offer snowboard & skateboard lesson for any riding level, trainings, photo & video shootings, English training courses and many other activities. Summer Rookie Fest, Val Senales, Italy – 6-10 july (2Star Slopestyle and Summer Chill)
From 6 to 10 July, the second edition of the 2Star slopestyle “Summer Rookie Fest” will be held in Val Senales, Italy, during the last days of the RookieCamp. With a 2Star slopestyle and tons of chilling possibilities, it will be the only TTR summer event on the Alps hosted in one of the finest European summer snowpark. This slopestyle contest will award a ticket to the legendary 4Star World Rookie Fest 2011 in Livigno, Italy, an invitation to a film shooting with Board.TV and many snowboard goodies by Nike6.0 and Nitro. Inscription fee is 350€ all inclusive.

Australian Rookie Fest, Thredbo, Australia – 28-30 July (2Star Slopestyle)
After Val Senales, the Rookie Fest will move “down under” with the first stop ever in the Southern Hemisphere. Thredbo in Australia will hold the 2Star slopestyle Australian Rookie Fest, from 28 to 30 July. It will be the pinnacle event of the Australian Junior Series, which will include events also in Victoria from 23.-25. July, and Perisher Blue from 12th to 14th August. This event will assign 3 tickets for the 4Stars slopestyles World Rookie Fest in Livigno, Italy, and World Rookie Finals in Ischgl, Austria.

South America Rookie Fest, Valle Nevado, Chile – 13th-23rd August (2Star Slopestyle and Freeride Trip)
The World Rookie Tour will move in the backcountry of the Andes for the South America Rookie Fest, from 13th to 23rd August, in Valle Nevado, Chile. The event will be integrated in the Circuito Bichos, the Chilean youth snowboard series, and international pro riders and selected European rookies will join it. The program of this unique event include an opening 2Star Slopestyle with snowboard clinics with the pros. Afterwards, the best rookies from South America will be invited to a freeride program with European Top Rookies and RedBull pros to enjoy a week of powder kickers, photo shootings and film sessions in Valle Nevado backcountry area.

WSF rookie events are reserved to Rookies (born from 1st january 1993 to 31st december 1995) and Grom (born from 1st january 1996 and up), both boys and girls. All contests of the World Rookie Tour will generate valuable results for the Swatch TTR Ranks and for the World Rookie Rank developed by World Snowboard Federation in association with the Swatch TTR World Pro Tour.
