Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th of February 2011 CentralCamps is proud to present their new event, The Open & Kids Slopestyle.
Like the name implies this freestyle event is open to everyone. We want to offer a chance for skiers and snowboarders of all ages to participate in an event. Even if you have never entered a contest feel free to join us for this weekend dedicated especially to all of you.
Saturday the 12th of February 2011
Throughout Saturday all of the riders will have the chance to measure their level thanks to the format of contest « Slopestyle ». This format allows each participant the choice to use any part of the snowpark they
prefer (jumps, rails, boxes,..) to best showcase their abilities. The idea of this format is to show the best of each rider. The show will take place all day long in CentralPark !
This day will be reserved for riders over 16 years of age. Sunday will be the day for our youngest participants to get out and show their stuff. All riders will be judged by their ‘Overall’ performances. The
judges will be looking at riders technique, execution and amplitude to decide who will be the winners of the day.
Prize money of 1,000 chf will be awarded ! There will also be a number of other prizes up for grabs !
Sunday the 13th of February
Under 16 years of age, this day is just for you !
Some freestyle contests are less open to the young riders out there. This Sunday the 13th of February, we have the great pleasure to organize a freestyle ski/snowboard event reserved for those under 16.
The morning : training & coaching. Several groups will be organized and each group will be assigned a coach. The goal is to allow all riders to progress in a safe and secure setting. This approach will bring a sense of both competition and camraderie to the event.
The afternoon : The contest will commence in a slopestyle format ! Each skier or snowboarder will have the chance to do several runs through the park, to stand out for the judges.
This is a very unique event as it is officially part of the Swissfreeski Tour (www.swissfreeski.ch) as well as the Tour Freestyle Romand (www.tourfreestyleromand.ch). By participating in this event you have the opportunity to earn points for both of these tours (both days).
No event without a party !
This is the moment exclusive to those over 18. Saturday night we will organize a freestyle soiree at the Underground disco in Collons 1850. To get the party going CentralCamps will be inviting dj’s who know
how to ignite the dancefloor. Every taste in music will have their moment and everyone’s thirsts will be quenched.
