Hotzone.TV Park Opening Hintertux - Can‘t wait for Winter!
Sep. 30th – Oct. 2nd 2011, seventh edition of Hotzone.tv Park Opening Hintertux kicks off earlier than ever before!
The sudden onset of winter on the Hinterux glacier made the Betterpark shapers sweat and since Monday, there is shoveling, rail building, box adjusting and fine tuning of the pro, medium and easy line going on allover the place. So the kicker line can already be inaugurated this weekend, while the rest of the park will be opened at the Hotzone.tv Park Opening next week! Nothing can get in the way of a perfect start to the season now, with the side events shaping up as well:
More than 25 brands will offer their products for free testing in the TESTAREA at the FERNERHAUS between September 30th and October 2nd. Same companies even came up with some special highlights for the opening. Sunday October 2nd is all about the kids, when it’s time for the BILLABONG KIDS SHOOT. With personal advise from snowboard superstar and Billabong team rider WOLLE NYVELT and Pleasure senior photographer MARKUS „FISCHI“ FISCHER the offsprings are shot like the big guns. The shoot is mainly for up and coming rookies, who need some money shots for their portfolio, but also any other shred-hungry kiddo just looking for a nice picture to hang up in the living room. The only vital thing to remember is the registration via www.hotzone.tv, as the number of spots for the BILLABONG KIDS SHOOT is limited and participation requires a filled out form signed by the parents. Rail fans will already be called to action on Saturday, October 1st , when it’s time to RIDE RAILS WITH FLO ACHENRAINER & CO! Sign up at the Rhythm booth for the live coaching session in the Betterpark at 1pm (registration deadline 12.30 at the test area at the Fernerhaus).
The with pros and ams likewise popular HOTZONE.TV SESSION OF THE DUDES will be going down on Saturday as well, offering a total of € 1500.— prize money for the best dudes. Even more money is up for grabs on Sunday during the CASH FOR TRIX SESSION at the special obstacle in front of the Fernerhaus. And for those watching the action from the BBQ terrace of the Tuxer Fernerhaus, we have DJ NLP entertaining them with nice beats.
There’s also plenty of opportunity to be active after shredding, with the AFTERSHRED SESSION tearing up the Hintertux parking lot from 2pm. Main attraction is THEGLORYFY ORIGINAL BAGJUMP BOMB DROP SESSION where you can jump into the BIG AIR BAG from a height of 6 to 8 Meters and try out new moves for the season. K2 goodies are given out at the K2 – POP THIS! HIGHEST OLLIE TOURNAMENT. Getting the most POP out of your board will not only win you stuff, but also an invite to the finals of the tour. At the same time the new snowboard brand Silbærg has a proper old school contest in store: the SILBÆRG SKATEBOARD SLALOM is looking for the fastest riders on old slalom decks. Extra style points are awarded for classic old school outfits or any other original looks!
And there is news from the party front too! Friday starts off with SHRED WARM UP PARTY in the Kleinen Tenne Tux, while Saturday sees the RHYTHM OPENING NIGHT firing up the Hohenhaus Tenne in Hintertux. New for this year is the covered outdoor area for the RHYTHM OPENING NIGHT, taking pressure off the usual smashing crowd inside, without interrupting the good vibe.
The world premiere of the new EUPHORIA movie from Argon Films will be screened in and outdoors as well! And to top things off, the presenters of the opening night put together a little competition to win stylish RHYTHM clothing directly at the party!
Despite the additional space of the outdoor area we still recommend to reserve party tickets on www.hotzone.tv beforehand, buy them in of the three Hotzone stores (Gerlos, Mayrhofen, Schwaz) or the insider shop in Tux or get them in the test area at the Fernerhaus. Please make sure to bring your ID to the parties, as there’s no entrance under 16!
