VOLCOM STONE’s Wild In The Parks Europe 2009

Summer is on the corner and the Volcom Wild In the Parks season starts again in May. There will be 20 stops this year all over Europe and Bryggeriet skatepark in Malmoe (Sweden) will host the european WITP championships on the 3rd of October with more prizes to win along with 2 flight tickets to the WITP champs in Phoenix, AZ (20 000$ prize money).

WITP are still and will remain a free skate contest, with free food, free drinks and tons of prizes up for grabs. There are 2 divisions 15 and under and 16 and over, Top 3 of each category qualify to the European champs in Malmoe (3rd of october).

Wild In The Parks was born when we noticed something needed to change in the amateur skateboard contest scene. We decided to take a different path, the road less traveled, and offer something new and entirely different. For those of you that are fed up with days of 1 minute runs, over and over again, we came up with a new jam format that alleviates both stress and boredom at events. Wild In The Parks is for young up and coming skaters to come out and show their skills. Think of the event like a best trick contest; skaters are judged on the tricks they pull, never on their bails. Wild In The Parks is about giving back to the skaters. With this in mind, the series is entirely free. There are absolutely no entry fees, so anyone can enter. Show up early to ensure a spot in the event, because they fill up quick! The Wild in the Parks is a great environment to hang out, eat some free food, skate, cheer on your friends, and go home with a ton of free prizes!
